I'm Valentine, a French 2nd year Classicist! I am really happy to take over Lizzie's work as chair and will strive to make our RCSA elections as democratic as possible! I am also really happy to link with CUSU, the big Cambridge Student association and represent our Robinson's students' interest there! If you have any questions, please come and talk to me or email me!
Hi, I’m James, I’m a second year HSPS student and I’m this year’s RCSA president. I’m the person representing your interests at meetings with the steward, senior tutor and at college council, CUSU council, The Education Committee, The Joint Liaisons Committee, The Admissions Committee and more. This year I’ll focus on making welfare drop-ins more accessible, improving access and increasing RCSA transparency.
Hello, I am Anna, a second year Historian from and current Vice President of the RCSA. My role includes the organisation of the Room Ballot for all years, the coordination of Fresher’s Week next academic year, the allocation of incoming first years to their College Parents and representing the Robinson students by sitting on various committees alongside Robinson staff. I will also work very closely with the President to address the concerns of Robinson students, whilst also taking an active role in Robinson Welfare.
Hi, my name is Tiara, I am in second year studying Arabic and Modern Greek, and I am also this years’ Treasurer. I am passionate about creating more transparency in the funding available to students, from college, university, and national sources. I am also looking to lobby the university as a whole in order to encourage a fairer distribution of funds between colleges.
Hey, I’m Natalie, the Welfare Officer. I oversee the Welfare Team and help to direct you to the right source of help to provide you with the best support possible. I hold drop-in sessions for you to come and talk to me about any issues you have. They are completely confidential (unless the situation dictates otherwise) and non-judgemental so I hope that you feel that you can be completely open!
I am also responsible for the circulation of sexual health supplies. We're registered to sign students up to the C-Card scheme which is an initiative that provides free sexual health supplies to young people under the age of 25. We also have the welfare cupboard near the library toilets that is accessible at any time of day. The cupboard has limited stock so please only use this resource when you need it and if it's empty please drop anyone on the team a message and we'll restock it.
If you ever need to get in touch with me to organise another time or ask a question feel free to send me a message on Facebook or send me an email at [email protected].
Hi, I’m Annalise, a first year MML student and I am this year’s Secretary. I put together the agenda for all the RCSA meetings - open, welfare and executive - so I am the person you should contact if you would like to submit a motion for one of the open meetings, which take place three times every term. I also take minutes during these meetings, as well as looking after the RCSA pigeon hole and notice board.
Hello, I am Juliette Blanchard, a second year HSPS student, and will be your Academic Affairs Officer this year. I will work in collaboration with the RCSA and other College members to ensure that there is good communication between all Robinson students and their DOS’s. I will also be representing Robinson students in the Education and the Library committees to make sure that Robinson students have the best academic life as possible. I am responsible for the organisation of subject drinks at the beginning of Michaelmas term and will work on developing students‘networks within and across subjects.
Hello, I’m Sophie a first year geographer from Portsmouth. Catering and amenities is a vital part of all our college lives and I can't wait to be instrumental in representing the students wishes. My role is effectively to deal with all the practical arrangements within Robinson to make college life more enjoyable for everyone. For Catering I deal with the Garden Restaurant and formals whilst for Amenities, facilities such as the bike stores and the Laundry Room are my concern. Aside from this, I am hoping to continue the work from previous years such as getting waffles at brunch on a frequent basis whilst also trying to implement other changes such as getting an ATM machine or a cash back system at the bar.
Hi, I’m Maisie and I’m a first year Phys NatSci from West Sussex. I’m the Sports and Societies Officer for the RCSA this year and being on both uni and college level sports teams I’m aiming to make sure there is a society (or more than one!) for everyone in college. I’m also looking to help Robinson stay at the top of their sporting game and improve wherever possible.
Hey, I'm Lily-Rose Sharry - second year Sociology student and Access officer. I'm excited to continue with existing schemes such as the Shadowing programme and set up new initiatives with the help of my committee such as travel to interview bursaries for students from lower income backgrounds.
We’re James (the good looking one on the left) and Bradley (the good looking one on the right). 3rd year maths and 2nd year engineer. We do ents! We’re responsible for the college’s weekly bops (university’s most frequent), a tirade of useless emails, and the committee that keeps you topped up with bar quizzes, karaoke, and other sources of procrastination. We’ll also have a hand in the marvel that is Fresher’s Week. We’re essentially glorified party planners, but revel in the title of ents ‘officers’.
I'm a first year HSPS student and my role is to encourage the College and students to be more aware of the environmental impact of our day-to-day lives. My aim for this year is to focus on our food waste by implementing a 'community fridge' scheme in College, and connecting students with wider Cambridge programmes. I would also like to work with Robinson to maintain its high sustainability standards, and work to build on these in the future.
I’m Jess and I study Human, Social, and Political Sciences, with a particular interest in gender and intersectionality studies in Sociology! As Women’s Officer, it is my duty to be a representative of all self-defining women from all backgrounds here at Robinson, and to be a source of advice and comfort, as well as a port of call in matters regarding welfare - whether that be sexual health, mental health, or physical wellbeing. I hold weekly drop-in sessions, but anyone can email/message me at any time if they need anything or want a chat! I aim to promote a stronger and more active network within the female community at college and I hope to work alongside the Feminist Society on issues regarding gender inequality.
Hi, I’m Alex this years’ Men’s Welfare Officer. I am a second year Chemical Engineer from Leeds. It is important that all members of the college feel that they have someone whom they can speak to if they have any worries and who will assist them in a professional and if necessary, confidential way. I will act as a representative for men within college, hosting various events throughout the year for men and non-binary individuals. I am always available to contact if you have any questions or worries.
Hi! I'm Chris, a first-year medic and your Overseas Officer. I will always be happy to discuss any problems you are having, and am particularly responsible for issues regarding homesickness, travelling, storage and discrimination. Whether local or international, do direct me queries on policy and international CUSU/society events, send me suggestions on activities and improving uni life for international students, or share with me any concerns you have. I organise International Freshers' Week, am open to suggestions. You can find me on Facebook or at [email protected]; I don't bite and I will listen.
Hi, I’m Sam, a first year Computer Scientist and I’m the RCSA LGBT+ officer. It’s my job to represent and help out anybody who identifies as LGBT+ in any way. Robinson has a history of high standards of inclusivity and I aim to ensure we uphold these high standards during my tenure. I’ll be running weekly, confidential drop in sessions if you need to have a chat about something and I’ll also be running LGBT+ social events throughout the year.
Hi, I’m Alexia, a second year Bio Natsci and this year’s Mental Health and Disabled Students Officer. I aim to improve general wellbeing and enjoyment in college. I am a Student Minds representative so am helping to organise mental health events and influence positive changes within college including making sure that students feel they have adequate support and services for mental wellbeing. I will also liaise with disabled students to affect changes in college that will improve their access and enjoyment.
My name is Mick and I write the Brick. I've got the role but I'm on the dole. Any support much appreciated.
