BINSON BOTS
Binson Bots is the Robinson College Robotics Society

We do coding and robots!
We are a group of students who are passionate about getting people from all backgrounds into coding and believe the best way to do this is by trying the wonderful art of coding through the ever-exciting field of robotics.

Anyone, regardless of whether they’re new to coding or experienced in the craft, can join and enjoy our Binson Bots events. We currently have four robots, and we can't wait to see what they'll do!

Binson Bots is also eager to contribute to improving the balance of women in STEM in Cambridge: in our college, there’s only 3 female Computer Science students, and our undergraduate student population stands at 65% male and 35% female. We plan to arrange plenty of outreach events with local schools, to get younger children interested in STEM, organising events where school students can come to Robinson, learn about coding and engineering and maybe even ignite a life-long passion.
Robots provide an easily accessible gateway into the world of coding - even for those who otherwise might not be interested in it. And for members with more advanced coding skills, there will be plenty of opportunities to push these robots as far as they want.
WHAT WE DO
